My name is Kevin McGeary, from Valley Stream NY. Several years ago, I came into possession of the wartime effects of a 1st Lt. from the 12th Armored Division named Harold Landau, from Bayside, NY. He was seriously wounded in Germany in April of 1945 and eventually returned to the US, partially paralyzed for the rest of his life.
I have never seen his name listed in any of the online rosters for the 12th but I assure you he was a member dating back to manuevers in Texas and Tennessee. I have a footlocker with various uniforms, service records, personal papers and a Bronze Star Medal, to name a few.
I would like to give these items to the organization or museum. Can you please tell me how I can go about doing this? You can reach me by email: kmcgeary@blmhs.org or call me at 516 510-5123.
