posted 11/24/2009 4:23:16 PM I am trying to learn more about my Grandpa's service with the 12th Armored Division. His name was Raymond B. Schneider. My uncle said he thought he drove a tank and rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant. He arrived in France in late summer or early fall of 1944.
The member list simply states that he was in HQ Co. I'm not sure what that means or if there were smaller groups within that. Any help would be greatly appreciated! We are so proud of his service and just don't know enough about it.
Thank you in advance for your help!

posted 11/24/2009 9:34:09 PM Your grandfather might have been attached to Division HQ, or the HQ Company of one of the 3 tank battalions. I suggest that you contact the following Representatives to the Hellcat News:
Brad Dressler 615 382 6959 (23d Tank Batt.) Pat and Mary Koenig 605 654 2181 (714 Tank Batt.) Mark Ault 765 459 5245 (43d Tank Batt.) Bill Hardin 573 642 3801 (Division HQ)
