posted 3/31/2010 7:52:05 PM My dad Peter Helman passed away February 11, 2010. In looking thru some photos , I found some army buddies in a photo with him... Anthony Favia & Charles or Paul Morris which were sent to him by Henry Sadlo (also deceased). I find this site fascinating as I didn't really know any of the information when he served. All I know from Henry Sadlo's memo was photos were from the little town they stayed in before & after Herrishelm

posted 4/7/2010 6:13:18 AM Dear Mindy, I am very sorry to hear that your father has recently died. I am asking you to contact Bill Funke, the Unit Rep to the Hellcat News. He will ask you for details for an obituary for the News and for his column. Bill can also put you in contact with other veterans of 17 C who knew your Dad. I note that your Dad was and may still have been a member of the Association; he is in the 2003 Roster.
Have you checked the Oral History Videos for stories from men of 17 C?
Here is Bill Funke's email address: fwilliam46@msn.com
Yours truly, Mike Woldenberg
