MikeWoldenberg Junior Member Member # 16 Posts: 302 From: University at Buffalo (NY) Registered: 6/1/2004	posted 4/7/2010 9:50:08 AM Dear Joseph, Although your grandfather, Edward Wittenberger is listed on the "17,000 Members" roster as belonging to the 56th Armored Infantry Battalion, this may be a mistake, because he says he fought with the 44th Tank Battalion in the Philipines. I wonder if he is in contact with any other veterans. Robert Rutledge is building a website with the 44th, and knows the veterans.
