posted 4/22/2010 7:52:23 PM My father Paul Sibley Williams from San Jose, California passed away this week. He has a patch for the 12th Armored Division, but we are trying to verify his service. His name is not listed in your roster. How can I verify if he was a member? Does anyone remember him?

posted 4/23/2010 5:18:57 AM Hello, I have asked Ken Klinedinst to help. His email is kbk@conknet.com
He is good at this type of problem.
I have a question: Do you have your father's discharge paper? This should have his unit. Do you have his Army serial number? Did he tell you that he was in some generic unit, like infantry, or field artillery, or engineers, etc.? That would be a big help.
Yours truly, Mike Woldenberg

posted 4/28/2010 9:05:39 AM Dear Sir: I understand that you must be preoccupied in the days after your father's death. Once we figure out where he served in the 12th Armored, we can put an obituary in the Hellcat News. Ken Klinedinst had the following question:
"Example, the NA shows one Paul Sibley Williams from CA, but he is a Jr. with one year of college. If we could contact the poster this info may help both him and us. Also his birth date is on the NA records."
In order for Ken to search the records, he needs some more information. Please contact him:
new email: kbk@mcttelecom.com old email: kbk@conknet.com
He uses both, but perhaps the new one is faster.
When you have time, please contact Ken Klinedinst and, if you choose, please send me a copy.
